Blogging like I want to (look away now, ovary talk and the like)

This is going to sound kinda weird but since having two babies at once I have noticed the following:
  • My period pain has kinda disappeared. I used to get a bit of cramping and it was kind of annoying for about an hour or two but that seems to have disappeared. Awesome! Of course I can still feel the mittelschmerz (I know I'm not hallucinating here because my mum can/could feel it too. Past tense because, hello, that supply of potential sisters-o-mine she had doesn't last forever). HOW MANY EGGS BURST FORTH FROM MINE OVARY? That question will plague me unless I have another baby and then I find out for sure.

Holy crap I love having two babies but I think if I found out I was having twins again I would probably freak out for a long fucking time.

  • Lightweight. I am now the world's biggest lightweight. I just had a glass of white wine and went completely funny. Luckily for everyone I don't have a credit card handy because I feel like shopppppping. It's not quite as bad as the time I took mushrooms and went to Tokyo Disneyland with Stef (yeah, that was fucked up), nor the time I got very stoned and thought it would be an excellent investment to buy all seasons of The Flintstones from JB Hi-Fi.

Oh wait, it's never a bad idea to buy the Flintstones what the hell am I saying?

  • I was also looking at some old photos of me and I totally look a lot older than I did a few years ago (uh yeah, der, of course since I AM older and all since time moves on and such). Having almost a year of broken sleep is not the most fun you can have, no. Oh how I miss those fanciful days of having no responsibilities. I suspect a little part of me shall never recover.

  • I used to love scary things but now I am the world's biggest wussbag.

I now get wasted after three beers and need to go to sleep early. I don't have the ability to drink like I did anymore (and thank goodness for that!).

I can't watch scary or violent things anymore. Not that I watched a lot before, but Motherhood has ruined me.

About Me

My name is Sharnee. I have two babies, two kitties and a lovely husband. I used to live in Japan (for 6.5 years total) then I came back to Australia. We eloped in Thailand then came home and had two babies at once. I don't really do things the normal way. And I'm fine with that.
