eyes n stuffs

Genetics fascinates me (my brother was the lucky sod who got the green eyes) but I can't wait to see what colour the boys' eyes are going to be. I think they may stay the same - the same blueish greeny grey that Stef has - but who knows! I think there's a 50% chance they will have brown eyes due to mine being brown and all - but fingers crossed they stay this pretty colour.
Have you seen this eye colour calculator? Stef doesn't really know the eye colour of his parents (a question for the next phone call I guess) but it's really interesting.

Babies got weighed today - George is only 200 grams behind Julius now (he's catching up - there was a difference of 400g ever since birth). Julius is also a little above average in height - but they are all pretty much average in everything. I'm hoping that we'll all be the same height (5'7") and have the same shoe size and the four of us can share shoes. Ha! Yes, Stef and I are the same height and have the same shoe size.

I made white bean puree tonight.
How very Masterchef of me.
Otherwise, I am pretty boring.

Your boys are adorable!

I've heard it can take up to 3-4yrs for eye colour to settle. Brown always settles first and green is always the last to settle. With my oldest, his eyes went grey from very early on and never changed after that, and are a lovely silver colour now, quite a lot like mine. My youngest is 13 months and his eyes are still very blue. I have no idea what colour they will turn out and I've been waiting for them to change, but I really hope they stay blue permanently.

Ours says we had a 5% chance of getting a kid with blue eyes and everything else is likely to be green. But Nats are greeny blue with brown spots (for real, he has brown spots) and mine are hazel.

Amy's eyes are bright blue and Isaac's eyes are indescribable. You actually cannot tell what colour they are. I suspect they'll end up hazel, but there's a blue tinge in there too.
