blah blah.. end to a shitty week

This week has been pretty busy and I'm glad it's over! "Doing things" with two babies is extremely hard work and sometimes it zaps all of my energy -- by the end of the day I feel like lying down on the floor and crying like a baby myself.

Getting two babies in the car (and out of the car) is kind of tricky - I have to put one on the living room floor and then take the other out to the car before quickly running back inside to get the other one. And then there's a third trip back inside to grab my bag or the nappy bag or whatever. God forbid if I ever forget to go to the toilet (me sitting on the toilet yelling out the front door "I'll only be a secoooooond!!!"). I'm always nervous that someone's going to walk by our house and wonder why a baby is randomly sitting in our car (clearly, I don't live at the Crown Casino so there shouldn't be too much confusion). Of course our car is not out on the street or anything.... they are never alone in the car for long at all, and I'm almost certain that you will all now think I am a terrible mother.

Yesterday was the final mother's group meeting (not really the final one, we're going to meet up again) and we had lunch at the pub. Of course both boys decided to play up - having no morning nap they were quite grouchy. I don't blame them, the poor duffers.

I juggled crying babies, my lunch and conversation all at once. One baby would cry so I'd pick him up, then I'd shovel some salad into my mouth. Other baby would cry so I'd lay baby #1 down and cuddle baby #2. Cue baby #1 tears again once he reached the horizontal position. It went like this for about an hour. I felt like one of those plate spinners at the circus.

Substitute the plates for babies, wipe the smile off his face and that's what it was like
(oh and sans tuxedo of course)

We did go to Torquay on Tuesday to pick up an eBay item I bought. We bought lunch and popped the babies on a rug while we ate. After about 5 seconds of lying on the rug looking around in wonder and it started raining. Urgh. But I managed to get a few good photos:

About Me

My name is Sharnee. I have two babies, two kitties and a lovely husband. I used to live in Japan (for 6.5 years total) then I came back to Australia. We eloped in Thailand then came home and had two babies at once. I don't really do things the normal way. And I'm fine with that.
